Prom 2008: The Perfect Dress

Okay, Grams and I have been planning on going dress shopping for almost an entire week. Each time we said we'd go, we forgot. (Epic fail.) We finally got our acts together and went Saturday morning. Yes! I was so excited.

We got there about three minutes before they opened. So we waited. Finally it was time for them to open. :) We went in and found that they were busy with a wedding client, but that was okay. We went straight to work looking at dresses. Grams would ask if I liked this one or that. I'd say yea or nay. I'd also point out the ones I liked.

We found two that I wanted to try on. One was a dark purple, with a modest top (Sleeves! Can you believe it?), the other was a maroon color with spaghetti straps, both very attractive dresses. I walked out with the maroon one on first. They liked the color on me. I loved the train. :) It was big but that wasn't anything we couldn't fix. I then walked out in the purple one. It was slightly tight on me and I didn't really like the fact that I couldn't breath. (A small price for beauty. Lol.) I wasn't sure if there were any others I should try on, so I let the wonderful ladies working there pick out some that they thought might be good for me. One was a light green. It didn't look good color wise, but the style was good. I tried on a green one, which was okay but I didn't really like. I also tried on a black one with a red ribbon going down the side. It looked good. Finally I tried on a jewel toned pink one. I loved the style but wasn't too sure about the color. It was after all, pink. I'm not crazy about pink and I don't usually wear the color very well. I tried it on anyway. Oh my! I fell in love with it. The ladies working with me like it. Grams liked it. The woman fitting her wedding dress and her friend or sister liked it. It was wonderful.

The dress is comprised of this gorgeous pink, very light material that flowed gently to the ground. It has this beautiful rippled twist, that is just below an empire wait line, and spans out towards the sides. I felt so natural in it and everyone could tell. I absolutely loved it! They loved it too! I had found my prom dress!
