"There comes a point in life, when you have to let go of all the pointless drama and surround yourself with people who make you laugh so hard that you forget the bad and focus solely on the good. After all, life is too short to be anything but happy. ~Author Unknown"

College Update.

As I mentioned in a previous blog I was planning on going to LCCC for a couple of years and the transfering. Well, to much of Sister Hatch's delight, that is no longer the game plan. I've applied to Otterbein College in Westville, Columbus. I've chosen it as one of three schools because of it's good art program. It's in a small suburb of Columbus, so I get the small town and the good education. I've also applied to Southern Virginia University and Bowling Green University. I'm not completely ruling out Loarin County Community College.

In this whole proccess I've learned that headaches are not going to go away, every college wants you, scholarships are confusing, and it just never really go away. In all reality what in life is ever really goes smoothly? Hardly anything.

To Graduate.

The last couple of months have been rough. As the end of the first semester ends and the beginning of the second begins, so does the prospect of graduating. Or "grajutating" as Mrs DiFranco so affectionately says. It's a really scary thought for me, and half the time I end up in tears just trying to plan or talk about it. I know that in all reality it's not that big of a deal. Everyone just gets overly excited and goes crazy over the whole idea, when I just try to avoid it. Excitement is suppose to be there, and somehow it just seems like there shouldn't be so much of it. Yeah, I'm the first grand kid to graduate, but just don't get too excited.

I've waited thirteen years to graduate. Working my hardest everyday to see that I make it to graduation. This Is my year! My year is 2009! We did it! Just don't make a huge deal of it. To me, to celebrate is good, but to acheive is even better. Go class of 2009! For this is the year, our year.

Snow! And more snow!

As the new year comes in, so does the snow. And lots of it. I hate the cold temperatures snow brings with it, but love playing in the snow. Snowball fights, sledding, snow angels, to just rolling around in it, is so much fun! Just don't mention having to shovel it. Wouldn't be good for your health. Lol. I wonder if there will be enough to cancel school Monday? I hope so!

As the snow keeps falling and covering the world in giant blanket of white, I quietly sit inside trying my hardest to keep out of trouble, while managing to ward away cabin fever. It crossed my mind today that I haven't been writing as much as I should and I'm sorry to keep ya'll wondering about what's been going on. What a perfect day to catch up.

The weather is frightful and cold, not a creature is sturring, not even the cat. The clock tic-tocs, and the girl is silently thinking. What could she possibly write? This seems to be the picture of the moment, as I try to conjuor the next thought. 'Tis a thoughtful, restless thing, not know what to say. The past week has been nothing but that of busy, busy. Between school, practice, clothe-a-child, and so muh more, I have not quite found the time to unwind and relax. Lol. Mybe this snow will do me some good, yet.
